County begins mandatory homeless count
Tuesday marked the beginning of Ventura County's homeless count. Volunteers armed with standardized forms are making their way to river bottom encampments, shopping centers, parks and parking lots for a street count. Organizers said the count was proceeding smoothly today, with no major incidents.
